This expansion for the Middle-earth Strategy Battle Game covers the events surrounding the dread kingdom of Angmar in the north, and the wars it waged upon the three kingdoms of Arnor – Arthedain, Cardolan and Rhudaur – ultimately leading to its destruction. The book includes a full Rise of Angmar campaign, allowing you to play out key events such as the fall of Amon Sûl, the Battle of Fornost, and the clash between the Witch-king and King Eärnur of Gondor. You’ll find loads of scenarios to play, discover fresh ways to build your armies, and encounter new heroes and villains. On top of all that, this supplement includes a showcase of miniatures, a painting masterclass for the ruins of Middle-earth, and an appendix featuring Narrative Play scenarios tied to the heirs of Isildur later in the Third Age, including Arathorn and his son, Aragorn.
Inside this 112-page expansion, you will find:
– History of Arnor and Angmar: A background section detailing the history of Arnor and Angmar, from the splintering of Arnor into three smaller kingdoms, to the founding of Angmar and the wars it waged, all the way up to the last sighting of Eärnur and the fate of the lineage of Isildur.
– Scenarios: Includes 18 Narrative Play Scenarios that chart the major events in the Rise of Angmar and Arnor's consequent fall. Ranging from the forces of Carn Dûm to the raising of the Barrow-downs, the Witch-king's final assault upon the city of Fornost and the following battle where Men and Elves sought revenge on Angmar.
– Rise of Angmar Campaign: Provides a suite of rules for linking the 18 scenarios presented in this expansion into a Rise of Angmar Campaign.
– Armies: Contains an in-depth look at the forces that fought within the northern lands, featuring background, tactics and army lists for Arnor, The Rangers, Minas Tirith, Rivendell, Angmar, and Carn Dûm.
– Legendary Legions: Includes rules for five Legendary Legions for Matched Play games.
– Haunted Ruins Painting Masterclass: This section shows you how to paint your ruins of Middle-earth so that they represent the crumbling, haunted ruins of Arnor.
– Appendix: This section presents a further four Narrative Play Scenarios, and two Legendary Legions, that focus on some key events that happened to the lineage of Isildur.
– Showcase: Rise of Angmar concludes with a short showcase of miniature photography for both Forces of Good and Forces of Evil, highlighting key miniatures for the forces within this supplement.
Please note, that you will need a copy of the Middle-earth Strategy Battle Game – Rules Manual, Armies of the Lord of the Rings, and Armies of the Hobbit, all available separately, to use this expansion.We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

Exceptions / non-returnable items

We also do not accept returns for hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.
Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.
Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.

''Near Mint (NM)'
Near Mint condition cards show minimal or no wear from play or handling and will have an unmarked surface, crisp corners, and otherwise pristine edges outside of minimal handling. Near Mint condition cards appear 'fresh out of the pack,' with edges and surfaces virtually free from all flaws. '

''Lightly Played (LP)'
Lightly Played condition cards can have slight border or corner wear, or possibly minor scratches. No major defects are present, and there are less than 4 total flaws on the card. Lightly Played condition foils may have slight fading or indications of wear on the card face. '

''Moderately Played (MP)'
Moderately Played condition cards have moderate wear, or flaws apparent to the naked eye. Moderately Played condition cards can show moderate border wear, mild corner wear, water damage, scratches , creases or fading, light dirt buildup, or any combination of these defects. '

''Heavily Played (HP)'
Heavily Played condition cards exhibit signs of heavy wear. Heavily Played condition cards may include cards that have significant creasing, folding, severe water damage, heavy whitening, heavy border wear, and /or tearing. '

''Damaged (D)'
Damaged condition cards show obvious tears, bends, or creases that could make the card illegal for tournament play, even when sleeved. Damaged condition cards have massive border wear, possible writing or major inking (ex. white-bordered cards with black-markered front borders), massive corner wear, prevalent scratching, folds, creases or tears.
