Today we will be playing a large game of Hail Caeser to refight the Battle of Hastings.

The Battle of Hastings occurred on 14 October 1066 and marks a key tuning point in English History.

The Battle was fought between the Norman-French amry of Duke William II of Normandy and the English Army lead by King Harold II.  It was fought about 10K north west of the town of Hastings and at the time represented a decisive victory for the Norman army.

King Harold died during the battle, reportadly shot through the eye by an arrow.  This battle effectively gave William command of England, although some English resistance persisted for a period of time afterwards.

All models will be provided although you are wlcome to bring along your own if you have models which suits the battle (general dark ages, Normans, Vikings, Saxons up to crusaders miniatures).

We will be using the Hail of Caesar rules written by Rick Priestly which is the perfect set of rules to use for a group participation game.

This years game will have almost twice the number of models from last years game (pictured below)
