Some months ago resident customer Phil embarked on a journey to build a War of the Roses army using 28mm high miniatures.  As happens so often we were pulled along with a fellow hobbyists enthusiasm and as a result today we will be hosting our first game with our newly completed WOTR army, the paint may even be dry on the models...we think.

Today we will be wargaming the battle of Bosworth Field.  This game will be played using the Hail Caesar Rules and is open to anyone who would like to come along and role some dice.

The Battle of Bosworth Field was the last major battle during the War of the Roses a civil war which raged across England at the end of the 15th century. The war was fought between two rivals for the throne, the Houses of York and Lancaster.  The battle was fought on the 22nd of August 1485 and was eventually a Lancastrian victory. The Lancastrians were led by Henry Tudor and following the battle he became the first king of England in the Tudor Dynasty.

You do not have to own any miniatures for the period as we should have enough to share around.  Please register so we can do our best to ensure there are enough miniatures to share around.

The battle will played with mostly Perry Miniatures painted by the staff and several customers. An Example is shown below (The picture is stolen straight from the Perry Miniatures website and are not necessarily indicative of the quality of our store miniatures...but we will try).
